A piece of jewelry can be current, trendy or fashionable, but it can also be timeless—a one-of-a-kind heirloom passed down through generations. I am interested in embracing, exploring and combining these multiple facets of jewelry. My work deals with subjects and materials that are both permanent and fleeting. I create jewelry that balances levity with formality; the modern icons in my work have an obvious humor that is enhanced by time-honored techniques and precious materials.
